Our client is a highly successful, very established, family-run Independent MOT and Service Centre based in the heart of Twickenham, they require a Senior Level 3 Automotive Technician.  Alongside their busy mechanical workshop, they also operate a state-of-the-art, Manufacturer Approved Paint and Bodyshop. Unlike a rigid main dealer, we pride ourselves on our warm family values, loyal customer base, and a close-knit team culture built over many years. Because we handle everything from routine servicing to insurance-approved body repairs under one roof, we offer our staff an incredibly stable, diverse, and well-equipped working environment. We are now looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join our busy team. 

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for long-term stability and a friendly working environment. As a senior member of our workshop team, you will handle a diverse mix of day-to-day vehicle servicing, advanced diagnostics, and complex mechanical repairs on all makes and models. You will take true pride in your workmanship and help us maintain the stellar reputation our family business is known for. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs: Efficiently diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical, and engine management faults. 
  • Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out high-quality routine vehicle servicing, timing belt/chain replacements, suspension overhauls, and clutch replacements.
  • Workflow Efficiency: Complete all repair jobs neatly and effectively within sensible time frames, ensuring “right-first-time” results.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the mechanical team and service reception, offering technical support or mentoring to younger technicians when needed. 
  • Quality Control: Maintain clean working bays and ensure all work strictly complies with industry safety and quality standards. 

What We Are Looking For – level 3 Automotive Technician

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on, professional workshop experience post-qualification.
  • Skillset: Strong competency in advanced diagnostics, mechanical problem-solving, and a wide knowledge of diverse vehicle brands.
  • Licence: A full, clean UK Driving Licence is essential. An active MOT Tester Licence is a great advantage but not mandatory.
  • Traits: A reliable, honest individual with a strong work ethic who thrives in a traditional, family-run team atmosphere.
