We are now seeking a keen and reliable Level 1 or Level 2 Qualified Mechanic to join our growing workshop team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role perfect for an improving mechanic who wants to build their experience in a brand-new facility. Reporting directly to our Workshop Manager, you will focus on high-quality vehicle servicing and general repairs. You will also play a key role in keeping the garage running smoothly by helping your teammates, maintaining workshop cleanliness, and moving customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine vehicle servicing, oil changes, vehicle health checks, and fluid top-ups.
- General Repairs: Undertake straightforward mechanical repairs, including fitting brakes, tyres, exhausts, suspension parts, and batteries.
- Workshop Support: Help out around the garage, keep bays clean and tidy, organise tools, and assist senior diagnostic technicians when required.
- Vehicle Logistics: Safely maneuver and park customer vehicles around the garage forecourt and workshop bays.
- Quality Work: Complete all tasks to a high standard, ensuring customer vehicles are treated with care and respect.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Driving Licence: A full, valid UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
- Experience: Previous experience working inside a professional garage or fast-fit centre.
- Attitude: A hard worker with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a true team-player mentality.
- Tools: Possession of your own basic tool kit is an advantage.
