Highly Skilled Paint Technician Painter for our clients, a well established, family-run Independent MOT, Service, and Manufacturer Approved Paint & Bodyshop based in Twickenham. Our state-of-the-art bodyshop regularly handles very high-value, luxury, and prestige vehicles. Because we operate under strict manufacturer approvals, we hold ourselves to the absolute highest standards of craftsmanship. We are now seeking an exceptionally skilled and meticulous Paint Technician / Sprayer to join our specialist team.
Location: Twickenham, Greater London
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
The Role
This is a premium opportunity for a master of their craft who takes absolute pride in a flawless finish. Working in our modern, fully equipped spray booth, you will be responsible for preparing, color-matching, and painting high-value luxury cars. You will have access to top-tier paint systems and equipment to ensure every vehicle leaves our shop in showroom condition, matching exact manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- High-End Refinishing: Carry out full resprays, panel painting, and smart repairs on high-value, luxury, and prestige vehicles.
- Preparation & Masking: Ensure meticulous surface preparation, sanding, priming, and masking to guarantee zero overspray and flawless adhesion.
- Advanced Colour Matching: Utilize computerized mixing systems and spectrometers to achieve perfect colour matches, including complex pearls, candies, and matte finishes.
- Quality Control: Inspect your own work meticulously under specialist lighting to ensure a completely defect-free finish before passing the vehicle to assembly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the spray booths, guns, and mixing equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: ATA / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Refinishing is preferred but significant proven experience is highly valued.
- Experience: Extensive hands-on experience as a Paint Sprayer, with a proven track record of working on high-value or prestige vehicle brands.
- Attention to Detail: An exceptional eye for detail, color, and finish; you must be someone who refuses to compromise on quality.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with modern water-borne paint systems, high-solid clears, and advanced booth operations.
- Licence: A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
