The Role – Diagnostic Technician
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced diagnostics on all makes and models.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and engine faults.
- Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Replace timing belts and timing chains.
- Carry out engine repairs and rebuild work where required.
- Diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems.
- Repair and replace braking components.
- Complete vehicle health checks.
- Use the latest diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate workshop records.
- Work independently while supporting colleagues when required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on all makes and models.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and major mechanical work.
- Confident replacing timing belts, timing chains and completing engine repairs.
- Knowledge of suspension, steering and braking systems.
- The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- A professional attitude and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
